Aha moments- This moment is where a character in your story has 'an awakening'.

Contrast and Contradictions- This moment is where you expect a certain action to occur, and something totally different happens. (Character development!!)

Words of the Wiser- This is a moment where your main character in the book is given a piece of wisdom from another (often older) character.

Again and again- This is moment/action/ statement made throughout a passage (or story) that is repetitive.

Tough question-This moment is a where your character has a tough decision to make.  This choice will almost always lead to major story-line developments.

After reading the article of your choice, create a '3-2-1 poster' with your group that contains the following:

3- Three Important new facts that you learned

2- Two Important Questions that MLK Jr. faced

1- One Timeline with at least 5 important dates (or years)

**As a part of the poster, there must also be at least one accompanying image that correlates to the content of the article.

Final AE Reading Project Choices

For your research project you are required to include information on the character you've researched..

1) Give a background as to why that person is famous (or infamous)

2)You are to identify 2 Character traits that describe the person that you've researched...

With each trait, include a variety of specific evidence that support that trait. You must cite where you've found your evidence with the author and the title of the text written.

A rubric will be sent home with you on Friday 1/12.  You will have class time through 1/19, but you may need to work on some of this at home. 

Your choices for presenting this information will be either:
1) A 'One-Pager'  or-

2) Diorama. (The Diorama will require a written paper attached that will include the necessary information.) 

Examples of these items will be shown in class.
